Inyati Africa Safaris is proudly owned and operated by Hunting Outfitter and Professional Hunter Roaldt Wannenburg, who has a lifelong passion for wildlife, conservation, and the African bush.

Roaldt was introduced to nature at just five years old, growing up among skilled professional hunters, trackers, and bush experts who shaped his understanding of wildlife in the African bush. From tracking big game on foot to skinning trophies and studying animal and bird behavior, his early years developed the foundation of a true outdoorsman.

His dream was always clear — to create a safari company where he could share his knowledge, passion, and love for Africa with others. Alongside his field experience, Roaldt gained valuable business insight from his family’s successful enterprise, founded in 1950 by his great grandfather and now thriving through the fourth generation. Once you have selected your preferred safari package or destination, we will provide you with a detailed email outlining all the necessary information related to your chosen safari experience. This includes important details specific to the safari type, destination, and services included. Following this, you will receive a Safari Agreement Contract from us. This contract clearly reflects all discussed arrangements, including the selected packages, safari details, and agreed pricing.

After the Safari Agreement Contract has been carefully reviewed and signed, a deposit will be required to confirm your booking. Please note that the deposit amount may vary depending on the nature and type of safari selected.

Arrival at the Airport

We ensure your journey is seamless from the moment you arrive in Africa until your departure home. Upon arrival at OR Tambo International Airport in Johannesburg, South Africa, a dedicated member of our team will personally meet you at the airport and welcome you to Africa.

At the end of your safari experience, we will personally drive you back to the airport on the day of departure. Our service goes beyond a simple drop-off — we will accompany you into the terminal, assist you until your luggage is checked in, and ensure you are comfortable and fully prepared before boarding your flight.

Along with your Safari Agreement Contract, we will provide a detailed Health and Emergency Information Form that must be completed and returned to us prior to your safari. This allows our team to be fully prepared and responsive in the event of any medical or emergency situation.

For travel to South Africa, no mandatory vaccinations are required. However, we will clearly advise you on specific regions within South Africa and neighboring countries where malaria is considered a high-risk factor and where malaria medication is recommended.

We strongly advise all guests to consult with their medical doctor or travel health specialist before traveling to Africa to ensure they are medically prepared and have any recommended vaccinations or medications.

Payment Terms & Final Settlement

To secure your African Safari with Inyati Africa Safaris, a deposit is required at the time of booking confirmation. This deposit guarantees your reservation and secures all agreed arrangements for your safari experience.

All outstanding payments must be settled before departure. A detailed final invoice reflecting the remaining balance will be provided on the last day prior to departure, with any deposits previously paid fully deducted from the total amount due.

Payments can be made conveniently via electronic transfer using your banking app or through our card payment facility. Please note that when paying by debit or credit card, we accept Visa and Mastercard only, and a 3.5% card levy will be applied to each card transaction.

We are committed to ensuring a clear, transparent, and smooth payment process, allowing you to focus entirely on enjoying your unforgettable African Safari.

Payment of Other Items

For the purchase of gifts, souvenirs, and other personal items during your safari, most stores accept MasterCard and Visa credit or debit cards. Please note that American Express (Amex) and Discover cards are generally not accepted.

Some retailers may also accept foreign currency, depending on the location. Should you need assistance, Inyati Africa Safaris will gladly help you exchange foreign currency into South African Rand (ZAR) to ensure your convenience throughout your journey.

Gratuities & Tips to Staff

Gratuities are not included in your daily safari rate and are never compulsory. Tipping is entirely a personal gesture and should reflect your level of satisfaction with the service and overall experience during your safari with us.

The decision on whether to tip, how much to give, and to whom rests solely with each guest. There is no obligation or expectation—only appreciation where you feel it is deserved. You can also discuss this with your Hunting Outfitter & Tour Operator.

To ensure fairness and to avoid interrupting your safari experience, we kindly request that all gratuities be presented at the end of your safari, rather than on a daily basis. Tips should be given directly to your Professional Hunter or Guide, as well as to trackers, skinners, and lodge staff. This approach allows for proper and respectful distribution among the team who contributed to your safari experience.

Importation of Firearms to South Africa

Bringing your personal rifle into South Africa requires a temporary import permit issued by the South African Police Service (SAPS). To ensure a smooth and stress-free process, Inyati Africa Safaris works closely with a professional company that specializes in the importation of firearms into South Africa. Their experienced representatives will privately meet you upon arrival at OR Tambo International Airport in Johannesburg and assist you with all required documentation and procedures to declare your firearm correctly. For guests who prefer not to go through the firearm importation process, Inyati Africa Safaris also offers the option to rent high-quality firearms and ammunition at an additional daily cost, providing a convenient and hassle-free alternative.

Taxidermy Services after the hunt

We ensure that your trophies are handled with the utmost care and professionalism from the moment your hunt concludes. All field preparation of trophies is carried out on each of our hunting properties to preserve quality and meet export standards.

At every hunting area, we work exclusively with experienced and reputable local taxidermists who specialize in African game. During the course of your safari, we will personally accompany you to one of these taxidermy studios, where a qualified taxidermy professional will meet with you to discuss your preferences and the available options for your trophies.
