I have been on a couple of hunts with Roaldt in the past few years respectively in the Limpopo and Free State provinces of South Africa. They were both lovely experiences in different types of terrain, from the typical bushveld to the open grasslands that occupy this area of the continent.
Under Roaldt’s expert guidance I was able to experience what a good hunt can be, which is not only made of shooting, but of stalking the quarry in silence, as well as spending some good quality time around the camp fire in the evening after the days in the field.

My family and hunted with Roaldt in 2022. Roaldt is a fantastic PH. First and foremost he made sure we felt safe at all times and explained why we couldn’t stalk animals if conditions weren’t right. This being our first time in Africa we had no idea what to look for (quality wise), he took his time and made sure we took good quality animals during the entire hunt. We passed on many animals that were not up to his standards and our trophies are proof. I’ve been to Africa a second time and took similar animals but the quality was not as impressive. One of the things that impressed us the most was the quality photos he took. His attention to detail and editing was very impressive. Roaldt made sure my wife and daughter (non-hunters) were included in the hunts as well. Taking the time to teach us each animal’s habitat and habits, plant life and the seasonal environment. Stopping when he saw something to point out we hadn’t seen before. On excursions to town and Kruger National Park he was very attentive to our surroundings and safety. We never felt unsafe or taking into a uncomfortable setting. Roaldt was an amazing PH. It’s been 3 years since I hunted with Roaldt. He, I and the kids still chat on a regular basis. We have made a friend for life! Thanks Roaldt for the trip of a lifetime l’m looking forward to hunting with you again soon.
